The Boss

I got a champion boss for my birthday from Stephen (thanks Stephen!). I really like it. It is a heavy disc, does very well in the wind, and have been getting it a little further than my Wraith when I have thrown them side by side. I'm really enjoying it. I've been discing with the elders lately and one of them bought an R-Pro boss, 150 g. It floats in the water and is much lighter and flexible than my boss. It feels thinner too, less substantial. More like a wraith, but too light for much wind. That is the next disc I plan on purchasing. Will probably be a while.

  1. My bag currently holds a disccraft avenger, a champion innova teebird, a beat up DX teebird, a disccraft Meteor, an aviar putter by innova and a gateway wizard putter.
The Meteor is probably my favorite disc. It is a strait flying mid range miracle that has saved me on a lot of holes.
My strategy for my drivers is to have one that is a strait flyer ( the teebird) and another that is more overstable ( the avenger) and I switch between them depending on the needs of the course. I usually use the avenger, but grab the teebird when the path is narrow.

  2. I really like my buzz, have you thrown one of those? I'm wondering how it compares to the meteor because they both seem to be super straight midranges. I've made some awesome birdie and eagle shots with the buzz because it flies so dang straight. I've wondered about discraft drivers. I am sure they are good, but I'd like to know how far they are supposed to fly.

  3. I use a combo similar to the one you are using Jared but instead of the avenger for my more overstable throws I usually use the viking because I like the shape and feel of it and then instead of the tee bird I have the tee rex which I love. I still wish that I could find an Innova ACE again though, that thing flew So straight, even up till its last flight when it went straight into the spokane river. I am insterested in trying the Polaris JLS I think its called, Just Long Straight.

  4. I tried my groove out for the first time and I think that I really like it, although I'll have to throw it a few more times to see if it is consistant enough to put into my bag of tricks. As for now it sure flys far and I enjoy the "groove" on the lip
