The Distance Record has Been Broken

The record was broken back in April, but I didn't hear about it until about a week ago.  Maybe you heard already(but if so you should have posted about it).  The old record was thrown with a dx Valkyrie ten years ago (which has sometimes made me question if the newer discs and plastics are better than the old ones).  It was 820'.  The new record is 836' and was set with a 134 gram blizzard champion Boss.
The new record holder, David Wiggins Jr. is only 16, so I am pretty sure we can out throw him if we practice a bit more.  so 836' is the new number to beat.  Everybody get to work!  (he probably can't putt anyways)

Blizzard Plastic

I haven't felt the need to purchase any new discs for the last year.  I have a lot and I have really enjoyed the Boss Stephen gave me for my birthday a few years ago as my driver, the buzz I got from an Elder last summer and the drone I found playing at West Lake Park two years ago as my midranges, and the Vibram Summit I got from Breta for Christmas a few years ago.  I have a Wahoo for my water disc and don't know what disc I would add that would improve my game.  Seems like it would just add weight to my bag.
Well that feeling has changed.  I am very much wanting to buy a disc right now.  Innova has a new plastic out called Blizzard Champion Plastic.  It has thousands of tiny air bubbles in it to make the disc lighter, without changing the flight characteristics.  You are supposed to be able to throw a disc 20 grams lighter than your normal disc, but have it feel and behave just like your normal weight, except that it goes further.
This might just be a novelty thing to make people go out and buy new discs, but it is working.  I can't wait to get one.  When I do, I'll let you know what I think.  I'm planning on getting a 150 gram Katana or DiscMania DD2 (DiscMania is Innova Europe).  They say testing shows that they float if you get them in weights lighter than 140 grams, but this R-Pro Boss was supposed to float too.
